Inspired by the tales of trolls my grandmother told me as a child, as well as the Jungian idea of the subconscious, I’ve based this collection on my perception of what trolls are.
Trolls don’t live in the forest, nor are they mythological.
I tend to regard trolls as having made their home in our subconscious, as an antithesis to what we recognise as
good within ourselves.
They are invisible, but they aspire not to be more than anything, that’s why I’ve chosen to expose my trolls as colourful in addition to a considerable silhouette.

MATERIALS & TECHNIQUES

Cloqué, Shibori, strengthened, ripped and waxed fabrics are material experiments that reflect my idea of what the inner trolls look like. Glamourous and colourful, yet terrifying in contrast.
