This collection is based on biodegradability; it can be grown, sourced from nature, rather than being made in a factory. A positive link between fashion and our planet. The materials convey a sense of innovation and freedom to depart from the usual way. They are living organisms, organic materials that decay, materialised by the knitted horsehair.
The cuts are draped to embody a lifecycle and explore a world that has inspired me to dream about fashion of the future and make those dreams come true. I see decomposition as something poetic and innovative materials can change fashion and our relationship to it.

MATERIALS & TECHNIQUES

Wet-moulded cultivated scoby, cultivated crystals, silk organza with rust Shibori, alginate and waste material from silk organza and knitted horsehair, to achieve a contrast between life and decomposition.
